What is dowsing?

According to the British Society of Dowsers: "To dowse is to search, with the aid of simple hand held tools or instruments, for that which is otherwise hidden from view or knowledge".

Many are familiar with the concept of dowsing for water, (the image of an elderly man in tweeds with a forked hazel twig is quite well-known) but dowsing is also used for archaeology, health and well-being, oil and minerals, and earth energies.

Dowsing is not a gift but a skill, and like any skill some find it easier than others.  With good tuition and plenty of practice, anyone open-minded can do it.  The British Society of Dowsers has a well-developed curriculum and courses are delivered throughout the UK by its registered tutors, which include John Moss.

And then there's the ley line, energy line, energy current, energy ley, alignment debate...

But that would require a separate website.  Plaice are so much easier to understand...

However ... here is St Michael's Mount, node point for the Michael and Mary energy currents, (Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst's "The Sun and the Serpent") and the Apollo and Athena energy currents (Hamish and Paul's "The Dance of the Dragon").
